Bihar News: Bihar Rohtas Ropeway Collapses Before Trial, RJD Attacks Nitish-BJP Government

A major incident has been reported from Bihar’s Rohtas district, where a ropeway collapsed even before its official trial, raising serious questions over construction quality and safety standards. The ropeway was scheduled to be inaugurated on January 1, but during the trial run, it reportedly broke down and fell, narrowly avoiding a major tragedy. Following the incident, political reactions have intensified. The RJD has launched a sharp attack on the Nitish Kumar–BJP government, alleging corruption and commission-based practices behind the project. RJD leaders claimed that the ropeway project has fallen victim to “commission corruption” and said that hundreds of innocent lives were saved by sheer luck. The incident has sparked political controversy in Bihar, with the opposition demanding accountability and a thorough investigation into the collapse and project execution.
