Additionally, the ECI may reveal the schedule for Jammu and Kashmir’s assembly elections, with the Supreme Court mandating a deadline of September 30. Recently, the Election Commission visited Jammu, Kashmir, and Haryana to assess their poll readiness, though a visit to Maharashtra is still pending. If the ECI announces Haryana's election dates today, the model code of conduct will immediately come into effect.
