Amid uproar, will Central Vista project stop?

Twelve major opposition parties including four chief ministers have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding that the government should stop the Central Vista project and instead use the money to procure oxygen and vaccines.

The Centre told the Delhi High Court that the petition filed before it against the work on both sides of Rajpath under the Central Vista Redevelopment project was an attempt to stall the project under the garb of "public interest".
