Always wanted Babulal Marandi in BJP: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister shared a stage with former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi after Marandi's Jharkhand Vikas Morcha merged with the BJP. This merger comes after BJP's drubbing at the hands of JMM-Congress-RJD coalition in Jharkhand Assembly polls just a few months away. Amit Shah called Marandi's return a ghar-wapsi. "I have been trying to bring Babulal Marandi into BJP since I was made BJP chief in 2014. Someone rightly said that he is quite stubborn. We couldn't persuade him easily. He has now joined BJP as per the wish of the people of Jharkhand," Shah said.
