Absconding 1993 blast convict arrested in Kanpur

Jalees Ansari, who was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case has been arrested from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Ansari was absconding after he ran away during his parole. Police sources told ABP news that they interrogated those with whom Jalees was in contact with during his parole to gain vital clues and traced him to Kanpur.

This was a joint operation was Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad.
