CAA violates Article 14, instills fear in a community: Congress

Speaking at the ABP News' Jan Man Dhan conclave, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that the Citizenship Amendment Act violates the Article 14 of the Constitution and instills fear in mind of a particular community. Targeting the government, Singhvi also said that the BJP wants to bring in a new Constitution.
He questioned the Centre on CAA and asked is there any way of verifying the claims of persecution made by those seeking to enter the country?
