Ahmedabad Blast Case: Here's how it is affecting elections | Master Stroke (18 Feb 2022)

For the first time in the country, 38 people have been sentenced to death together in the Ahmedabad Blast Case. Earlier, in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, the trial court had pronounced death sentence on 26 people. However, the process of hanging in our country is very long and complicated. High Court and Supreme Court and then the President has the option of mercy petition. In the Ahmedabad Blast case, CM Yogi linked connection of a convict with SP, got a counterattack from the front.
