Jeffrey Bryant, a TikToker based in Los Angeles, made headlines after purchasing a foldable house from Amazon and having it delivered directly to his home. He shared that his inspiration came from watching a YouTuber unbox a similar Amazon home, prompting him to acquire his own prefab structure that could be expanded into a fully-fledged home. This development sparked considerable fascination, showcasing Amazon's evolution into a one-stop destination for a vast array of products, now including expandable prefab houses.

The pre-fabricated house is sold on various online sites such as Amazon and eBay. It is currently available in select countries like the USA, with prices ranging from $17,600 (Rs. 14,61,160) to $34,899 (Rs.28,97,526). A 19x20 ft. modern-style house is priced at $20,999, which is approximately Rs. 17,43,000. Its top is made of waterproof plastic, and its frame material is made of alloy steel. The container house is composed of a steel structure with a flame retardant foam wallboard.
The standard outside size is L19xW20XH8 after it is expanded and offers a generous storage capacity of around 292.5 sq. ft. These prefab houses are manufactured in a factory, after which they are shipped to the destination to be folded in order to save space during shipment. Buyers can easily assemble it on a flat surface and disassemble it whenever they wish to move it. Additionally, they can even use it as a permanent house.
There is no compromise in the features that it has, as just like any other regular home, it consists of windows, bathroom, lockable door, and a kitchen, apart from rooms.
Another company named Zolyndo offers a similar mobile expandable plastic prefab house that can be used by buyers as a hotel, shop, villa, warehouse, booth, or office. The prices of these houses range from $ 15,500 for a 13x20 ft house to $ 22,000 for a 19x20 ft house with a restroom. These consist of 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, living room, and a bathroom.
