New Delhi: A video has gone viral on the social media showing a man, who was trying to snatch a mobile phone from a train passenger through the window, was caught by his hand, resulting him dangling outside the moving train’s window.

The viral video, from September 14 in Bihar, shows the passengers holding the man by his hand as he kept apologising but also requested the people not to let go of his hand.

As per reports, the train was nearing the end of its journey from Begusarai to Khagaria, when the man tried to snatch a mobile phone from a passenger near Sahebpur Kamal station.

However, an alert passenger grabbed his arm. As the train moved, he pleaded to be let go, but eventually slid his other arm through the window, urging the passengers to hold him afloat.

His journey lasted for 10 kilometres and he was finally let go when the train neared Khagaria station.

As per locals, he fled the spot and no information was available on whether the police took any action.

In a similar video that went viral in June this year, showed a pickpocket perched on a bridge grabbing the wallet of a passenger through the window.

Also in the same month, a similar snatching attempt in Bihar ended up in serious injury to a policewoman, who was pulled out of a moving train near the Katihar railway station.

As per reports, Aarti Kumari, a police constable posted in Nawada, was standing close to the door with her mobile phone in hand when the train slowed down near the station, and the snatchers struck. She resisted, at which the men pulled her out.
