Smriti Irani Went To Kashi With Divorced Parents, Shares Her Big Takeaway From The Trip — See Video

Smriti Irani, a prominent BJP leader, emphasised the importance of reconnecting with parents through dedicated vacations.

BJP's firebrand leader Smriti Irani has always been vocal about her views. Her out-of-the-box thoughts often become a talk of the town. In one of her recent posts on social media, Smriti Irani offered a personal side of her as she spoke about connecting with her divorced parents while sharing a video of her Kashi trip with them.

In the post, she said most people plan holiday trips with their children, spouses or the entire family, but last December she did something unusual — organised a "small holiday" with our parents. Smriti Irani shared how fullfilling a trip it was, and has decided that she will plan a trip with her parents every year from now.

She said in the video: "Most people pack for their kids , organise for their spouses , plan for the whole jing bang we call family... and then there are our parents we need to take care of… but what if we only plan, pack, organise a small holiday around our parents? 2024 was life changing in many ways, it was a year of reflection and new beginnings... but one thing which will now become a yearly norm for me is to plan a trip just with me and my parents. It’s a task especially if they have been divorced... they pick up on issues 40 years old. But it’s fun to see them the way they are... unapologetic, innocent yet well travelled, well lived... I travelled with my parents alone, they giggled, they gossiped, they were melancholic, they were melodious... they were just Ma and Papa... my plans for 2025 with them are ready.. what about you ??"

One user, while replying to her post on Instagram, said: "Aah heartwarming.. Old age bonding with parents is so different." Another user said that the former Union minister's post was "So Touching", and added that everyone should plan such trips with parents.
