Rhinos Need Chilled Beer To Chill On A Hot Summer Afternoon! Watch This Viral Video

Viral video shows rhinos outside liquor shop, stirring awe, humor, and political debate. Clip claims Assam, netizens suggest Nepal. No harm reported; raises questions on wildlife safety.

In a surprising turn of events, two greater one-horned rhinos have been spotted in front of a liquor shop, sparking both awe and concern among local residents and conservationists. The video shows the rhinos standing and interacting with the shop owners which looks like they were asking for a chilled drink on a hot day where the shopkeeper was trying to move the animals away from the shop advising them not to do this.

The video was shared by an account named @SouleFacts with a caption that says, “When Congress was in power in Assam, and Rockybull Hussain was Forest Minister, Rhinos  was not even safe in Jungle. Now in BJP era, they even come to shops also to ask for cold drinks. Watch how they are friendly with people.”

This video is just one of the trending ones on social media showing the positive side of human, animal interaction, and no animal has been harmed. The location, time and date of the video is still not confirmed as the caption says it is from Assam and the people under the comment section claims it is from Nepal.

One of the users commented, “Incredible transformation — from being poached under Congress to now politely asking for Pepsi under BJP! Governance is so effective, even rhinos feel safe enough to go shopping. Wildlife finally feels more secure than taxpayers.”

According to the available data, the population of rhinos increased to over 4,000 in 2024 which were 600 in the 1980s. And  70% of the global population of this Asian Rhino species resides in Kaziranga.

How Kaziranga National Park Saved Rhinos

The government has provided the guards at Kaziranga with exceptional powers that offer them significant protection from prosecution if they shoot and kill individuals within the park. However, the methods used by the park to protect its wildlife are controversial. The rangers have been granted powers to shoot and kill that are typically reserved for armed forces dealing with civil unrest.

A few months back two poachers were killed by park rangers amid heightened security measures in Kaziranga National Park. This follows the killing of six rhinoceroses by poachers over the past two months, which led officials to request additional security.

During an intense gunfight with park rangers in the Agoratoli range of the park in Assam, eastern India, two accomplices managed to escape. "Following a tip-off given by a villager on the whereabouts of the poachers, the patrol team had been on their trail since midnight," an official said.
