Madhya Pradesh: Photos Of School Students Forced To Clean Toilet In Guna Goes Viral, Probe Ordered

New Delhi: There has been a stir in the education department as soon as the matter of making girls clean toilets in a school came to the fore in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district on Thursday, prompting state panchayat minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia to order a probe, as reported by news agency PTI. “We have taken the matter very seriously and are probing the issue. Action will be taken against those found guilty in the matter,” the education department's deputy director, Chandra Shekhar Sisodia, said.
The latest incident occurred in the primary secondary school of Chakdevpur village in the district, said an official as quoted by PTI. When the girls were cleaning the toilets, the headmaster was not in the school as she had gone to attend the meeting.
According to the media reports, the girls who clean the toilet study in class 5th and 6th. These girls were cleaning the toilet by bringing water from the hand pump outside the toilet. According to the information, primary and middle school children are taught on the same campus in Chakdevpur.
The incident happened when the headmaster was not in the school as she was away in Guna town to attend an official meeting, official said.

In another incident of cruelty, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on Tuesday directed the Uttar Pradesh sports department to take strict action against the contractors and officers accused of serving food to Kabaddi players in the toilet during a state sports competition in Saharanpur, UP, reported news agency ANI.
Videos and pictures of the incident also went viral on social media in which one can see players being served rice from containers placed inside a toilet.
"I have directed that strict action be taken against the accused contractor and officers. I have also directed that the contractor be blacklisted from future events as well. This is a standing instruction for everywhere that such incidents should not happen," the sports minister was quoted by ANI as saying.
"We have also given instructions to UP sports department to take a strict decision in this matter against the accused," he added.
Soon after the video went viral, the Regional Sports Officer of Saharanpur, Animesh Saxena, was suspended by the Sports Directorate of Uttar Pradesh.
