New Delhi: A peculiar sort of gangwar has made news recently involving monkeys and dogs in Beed district of Maharashtra. Two monkeys were reportedly captured by the Forest Department in Maharashtra who were reportedly involved in killing of 250 puppies in the district. The killings were believed to be an act of revenge after a few dogs had killed an infant monkey. The captured monkeys would be released in a nearby jungle, reported ANI.

"Two monkeys involved in the killing of dogs have been captured by a Nagpur Forest Department team in Beed. Both the monkeys are being shifted to Nagpur to be released in a nearby forest,” said Beed Forest Officer, Sachin Kand.

The incident left the villagers concerned and in panic as the monkeys had started picking up school children too and contacted the Dharur Forest Department.
