Man Uses Math Formula After Woman Asks Twitter Users To Guess Her Height
The people who replied to the post mostly did the guessing game but there was one who took it seriously and used trigonometry to guess her height.
We have often heard people complaining that the things we learn in school, especially advanced mathematics like trigonometry is of little use in real life. But a man proved it wrong by using this branch of mathematics to answer a question asked by a woman on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
Twitter user, Pallavi Pandey had uploaded a photo of herself on the platform, asking users to guess her height. Within hours, the comments box was filled with responses from people, including the man who used trigonometry to calculate the woman's height.
Pandey shared an image on her handle on Monday in which she is dressed in an all-black attire standing in front of a flight of stairs. "Guess my height!" read the caption of the post shared by her.

The people who replied to the post mostly did the guessing game but there was one who took it seriously and used trigonometry to guess her height.
"Looks like 5' 4.5". But now I am curious," the Twitter user, by the name Mr Nobody, wrote and also shared an image to corroborate his calculations.

It immediately prompted a response from Pandey who was surprised at the effort taken by the man and the use of trigonometry.
"Hats off to you, man for efforts, but I'm way taller, but wow!!!" she wrote. "Dude put an end to 'another day of not using trigonometry after class 10 in real life," she jokingly replied.
Others also lauded the man's effort in using trigonometry to calculate the woman's height.
One of the user wrote, "Bro never thought that trigonometry would make him this famous."
While another user wrote, "A befitting reply to all those who say that trigonometry is not useful. Will revise the values again".
"Itna pehle padh liya hota to ISRO mein scientist hota (If you’d have studied with this dedication earlier, you’d have been a scientist at ISRO)," wrote a third jokingly.
