"Vehicle traced. Needful and necessary action for the violation taken, fine amount paid by the car owner," the Whitefield Traffic Police Station commented on the post.

The video, which was already viral, drew sharp criticism.

"@acpwfieldtrf @halairporttrfps The number plate of this errant driver is clearly visible. Hope you impose fine on the driver for obstructing traffic from opposite lane," commented one user on the post.

While another joked, "Thank god... reverse gear is working fine."

"Great. He should be made to drive like that. Instead of a bus,if a bike or another car was there,i wonder how he would've reacted, commented a third.

"This is the main reason for traffic in bangalore, people not following lane discipline, @blrcitytraffic needs to start imposing huge fine for lane discipline and this will help reduce 50% of traffic jams," wrote a fourth.
