'Naam Bataiye': MP CM Shivraj Chouhan Jumps Aboard Bhupendra Jogi Meme Train With The Man Himself

Ahead of the assembly election in Madhya Pradesh, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan could be seen in a video with Bhupendra Jogi, who sparked a meme fest 4 years ago and has now resurfaced on the Internet.

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan says, "What's in a name? People should talk about work." But there's a lot in the name when it's "Bhupendra Jogi". The name recently took the Internet by storm when it resurfaced with the man himself four years after the original interview. With various YouTubers interviewing him and recreating the original meme, Bhupendra Jogi has become quite the celebrity.

And now, none other than Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has recreated the original meme in his own style. In the video posted on the Instagram page of the CM on Wednesday, Chouhan could be seen asking Jogi: "Kya naam hai apka?", to which the man replies: "Bhupendra Jogi. Chouhan then asks, "Aapne meri yojanao ke baare mein suna hai [Have you heard about my welfare schemes]?" To this, Jogi replies: "Haan [Yes]." And then Chouhan asks: "Naam bataiye [Tell me the names]."

Who Is Bhupendra Jogi?

Bhupendra Jogi is the latest addition to the list of memes that have flooded the Internet. Notably, the video that is at the centre of the meme trend is more than five years old and is grabbing attention after it resurfaced recently. Originally captured during the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, it came in response to the BJP's claim that the roads in the state were superior to the ones in America.

In the candid interaction, Bhupendra Jogi was asked for his name and the names of places he had visited in the US. What he said in response to the question was simple yet unforgettable. He introduced himself as Bhupendra Jogi, and this is where everything began.

One reason that made Bhupendra popular on social media was his straightforward response and the way he introduced himself in the video. Bhupendra Jogi has nearly 1,50,000 followers on Instagram.
