Hyderabad has been witnessing heavy downpour for the past few days bringing normal life to a standstill. An overnight thundershower with an intense spell of rain caused inundation in several areas of the city. A man along with his two-wheeler vehicle washed away in Borabanda on Wednesday as streets turned into streams.
In a video tweeted by news agency ANI, a man was seen washed away along with a two wheeler in a stream of rainwater in Hyderabad's Borabanda area. He was later rescued by the locals, ANI reported.

People in several other parts of the city had to bear the brunt of rain fury with the Ramachandrapuram area receiving highest rainfall (7.6 cm). Meanwhile, many colonies in Alwal locality were submerged due to heavy rains.
The regional met office has issued a yellow alert to the city and surrounding regions for Wednesday and adviced people to stay indoors.
Rain Fury In Mahabubnagar
Besides Hyderabad, rain caused havoc in Mahabubnagar district on Wednesday night. Several low-lying areas were flooded due to continuous rain for an hour. In many colonies, rainwater has entered the houses and submerged roads. People of many colonies including Ramayyabowli, Balajinagar, BK Reddy Colony, Shivashaktinagar in Mahabubnagar have faced severe problems.
Traffic came to a standstill on the Mahbubnagar-Bhutpur main road in Maduranagar after power lines were snapped. Two-wheelers parked on the roads in BK Reddy Colony and Ramayyabowli were washed away by the rainwater.
According to the authorities, 8 cm rain was recorded in the district.
