Nothing As Free Speech At Twitter, Employees Hate Elon Musk's Takeover, Reveals Senior Engineer In Secret Video

The workplace culture of Twitter has been exposed according to a new "undercover footage" that purportedly shows a senior engineer with Twitter revealing that the staff "hate, have, hate" Musk's takeover of the platform.

New Delhi: The workplace culture of Twitter has been exposed according to a new "undercover footage" that purportedly shows a senior engineer with Twitter revealing that the staff "hate, have, hate" Elon Musk's takeover of the platform and that the micro-blogging site has a strong left bias. The software engineer at Twitter named Siru Murugesan was seen in the video saying that there is no free speech at Twitter as the company regularly censors conservative viewpoints as right-wingers are putting up with it.

The undercover footage was released by an American far-right activist group named Project Veritas.

"Like I started working at Twitter and became left. I think it's just like the environment, like you're there and you become like this commie," Murugesan was seen as saying in the video.

The senior Twitter engineer was also recorded as saying that several Twitter employees hate Musks's takeover of the company. "They hate it. Oh my God. I'm at least like okay with it. But some of my colleagues are like super left, left, left, left, left," Murugesan said.

According to the senior engineer at Twitter, "a lot has changed" since billionaire Elon Musk began the takeover process last month. He also added that Twitter staffers were worried for their jobs, because Musk's firms run differently from Twitter's "socialist" workplace.

Meanwhile, CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, Musk gave a hint, which suggested that would be like to pay less for the acquisition of Twitter, according to a report by news agency AP.

Musk bought the social micro-blogging platform in April for an offer of $44 billion. The world’s richest man made the offer to buy Twitter for $54.20 per share on April 14.
