OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE5 Launch Date Now Official: All You Need To Know

Rounding off the launch event, OnePlus is also unveiling the Buds 4 — its latest wireless earbuds equipped with a dual-driver setup and dual DACs.

OnePlus is turning up the heat this summer with a global launch event on July 8, unveiling a trio of much-anticipated products for Indian and international markets. The spotlight will be on the OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE5, and the next-gen OnePlus Buds 4 — each promising meaningful upgrades across performance, design, and user experience.

Nord 5 Breaks Ground With Flagship Chipset

Marking a major milestone for the Nord lineup, the OnePlus Nord 5 will become the first device in the series to house a Snapdragon 8 series chipset — specifically, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform. This step up in processing power will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM, aiming to deliver faster performance and improved energy efficiency.

A teaser shared by the company reveals a dual rear camera setup with the flash module positioned below — echoing the design language of the recently launched OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Edition in China. Gaming enthusiasts will have a lot to cheer for, as the device promises native 90fps support for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), and 144fps playback for Call of Duty Mobile thanks to frame interpolation.

Additionally, OnePlus claims that the Nord 5 will feature a 7300 mm² VC cooling chamber combined with advanced graphene-based thermals similar to the OnePlus 13, with thermal conductivity rated at 1,800W/m-K.

Nord CE5 Keeps It Cool With Minimalist Tweaks

Joining the Nord 5 at launch is the OnePlus Nord CE5, which will also sport dual cameras on the rear. The teaser hints at a patterned back panel, although it notably lacks an IR blaster on the top edge — a detail that might be missed by some fans looking for added utility.

While specs remain under wraps for now, the design elements suggest OnePlus is opting for a clean, stylish approach with its CE variant this time around, likely keeping it affordable yet performance-focused.

Buds 4 Brings Spatial Audio And Speedy Gaming Support

Rounding off the launch event, OnePlus is also unveiling the Buds 4 — its latest wireless earbuds equipped with a dual-driver setup and dual DACs. Support for Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 and 3D Spatial Audio is designed to deliver a premium audio experience, especially for immersive gaming and multimedia consumption.

The Buds 4 promise a latency of just 47ms in Game Mode and will be available in two shades: Zen Green and Storm Gray. Already available in China, the earbuds also boast up to 55dB active noise cancellation spanning 5500Hz ultra-wideband, along with triple-microphone AI-powered noise reduction for calls.

Availability Post Launch

All three products — the Nord 5, Nord CE5, and Buds 4 — will be available for purchase via Amazon.in, the official OnePlus India website, and OnePlus Experience Stores across the country after their official debut on July 8.

As the company continues to expand its portfolio, this launch could mark a pivotal moment for OnePlus to reassert dominance in India’s mid-premium smartphone and audio accessories segments.
