OnePlus Nord 5 Vs OnePlus Nord CE 5: Which Nord Should You Buy? Find Out

With a Rs 9,000 price gap, OnePlus splits its Nord lineup into two solid options—one aimed at premium performance, the other at smart savings. Here's how the Nord 5 and CE 5 truly differ.

OnePlus Nord 5 Vs OnePlus Nord CE 5: OnePlus has expanded its Nord series in India with the launch of two new smartphones—the Nord 5 and the Nord CE 5. While both devices carry the Nord branding, they serve different priorities and price points.

The Nord 5 starts at Rs 31,999 and targets users looking for a more performance-driven, feature-rich experience. In contrast, the Nord CE 5 comes in at Rs 22,999, offering a more balanced spec sheet for budget-conscious buyers.

OnePlus Nord 5 Vs OnePlus Nord CE 5: Performance and Display

The Nord 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,800 nits. It also includes Gorilla Glass 7i protection and has an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance.

Meanwhile, the Nord CE 5 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex processor and comes with a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED screen. The refresh rate is capped at 120Hz, and brightness peaks at 1,400 nits. Unlike the Nord 5, the CE 5 doesn’t have an official IP rating or reinforced glass protection, but it’s lighter and slightly more compact.

OnePlus Nord 5 Vs OnePlus Nord CE 5: Cameras and Battery

Both phones have a dual rear camera setup: 50MP main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The Nord 5 steps ahead with a 50MP front camera, while the Nord CE 5 comes with a 16MP selfie camera.

Battery-wise, the Nord 5 houses a 6,800mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging. The CE 5 includes a 7,100mAh battery, also with 80W charging, making it slightly more power-packed on paper — ideal for users prioritising battery life over processing power.

OnePlus Nord 5 Vs OnePlus Nord CE 5: Which One Should You Buy

The Nord 5 is clearly designed for those who want flagship-like performance, a more refined display, better durability, and a high-res front camera. For an extra Rs 9,000, it brings more power and polish.

On the other hand, the Nord CE 5 offers most core features, including a decent display, a strong battery, and a reliable camera setup, at a significantly lower price. It’s a smart pick for users who want good all-around performance without stretching their budget.
