Samsung has officially unveiled its much-anticipated Galaxy S25 series, including the Ultra, Plus, and standard models, during an event held on January 22 in San Jose, USA. The South Korean tech giant’s President and CEO for Southwest Asia, JB Park, confirmed that the Galaxy S25 lineup will be produced at Samsung’s Noida manufacturing plant in India.

The flagship series, which is set to compete in the premium smartphone market, has benefitted from substantial input from Samsung’s Bengaluru-based R&D centre. As the company's largest research facility outside South Korea, Bengaluru has played a crucial role in refining the AI features of the Galaxy S25.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Now Official

The Galaxy S25 is powered by the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, tailored for improved AI functionalities and superior on-device processing. It also boasts the next-generation ProVisual camera system, offering state-of-the-art tools for both photography and videography.

Park expressed optimism about the new release, stating, “We believe the Galaxy S25 series will surpass the popularity of the Galaxy S24.” He also emphasized the popularity of Samsung’s AI-powered features, noting that Indian users are particularly keen on tools like the "circle to search" feature, which now enables quick and intuitive access to phone numbers, emails, and URLs with a single tap.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra, the flagship model, offers a stunning 6.9-inch QHD+ display, a 50MP ultra-wide camera (upgraded from the previous 12MP), and a powerful 5,000mAh battery. In a move towards sustainability, Samsung revealed that the S25 would be the first Galaxy phone to include batteries made from at least 50 per cent recycled cobalt, sourced from old devices and discarded batteries during production.

TM Roh, President of Samsung’s Mobile Experience Business, added, "The Galaxy S25 series introduces an AI-integrated operating system that redefines the way we interact with technology and live our lives."
