Samsung on Monday launched the Galaxy F55 5G in India. The smartphone features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC and a hefty 5,000mAh battery. The device comes equipped with a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup at the back and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has been made available in two colour options with vegan leather finishes. Notably, the Galaxy F55 is touted to be the lightest and slimmest vegan leather back phone in its segment in India.

The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G has been made available in three storage configurations: the 8GB + 128GB model which is priced at Rs 26,999, the 8GB + 256GB model for Rs 29,999, and the 12GB + 256GB model for Rs 32,999. The phone comes in two colour options, Apricot Crush and Raisin Black.

The Galaxy F55 will be available for early sale starting May 27 via e-commerce site Flipkart.

The Samsung Galaxy F55 comes with One UI 6.1, based on Android 14. Samsung pledges four major Android updates and five years of security patches for this device.

For optics, the Samsung Galaxy F55 features a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor. The front camera boasts a 50-megapixel lens.

The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone also supports expandable storage of up to 1TB via a microSD card.
