Several Samsung Galaxy A Series Models Getting Voice Focus Feature With OneUI 5.0 Update. Details

Samsung has announced select Galaxy A series models will receive the Voice Focus feature with its Android 13-based OneUI 5.0 update. Oppo has already rolled out Android 13 for some of its models.

Samsung has announced select Galaxy A series models will receive the Voice Focus feature with its OneUI 5.0 update, which is based on Android 13. The tech giant said it has started rolling out 4-year OS updates for the Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A73 5G models.

The South Korean tech giant has already introduced its One UI 5 update, based on Android 13 OS for its flagship Galaxy S22 lineup. The tech major has also recently rolled out the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 devices along with other models. It is being reported that the Galaxy S20 FE has also received the update based on Android 13 in India.

Other Android smartphone OEMs like Oppo has also rolled out Android 13-based custom UIs. Oppo has recently said that Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G, Reno 8 5G and F21 Pro 5G are getting the Android 13 update. handset maker OnePlus has also started accepting registrations for Android 13-based OxygenOS open beta test for the Nord CE 2 Lite in India. 

What is Voice Focus feature for Galaxy A series models

Voice Focus rolling out for select Galaxy A lineup phones with OneUI 5.0 update highlights the company's "Make for India" initiative, the company said in a statement.

Samsung's Voice Focus feature, once switched on by the caller, will essentially enable the listener to experience the call without any background noise, even if the caller is in a noisy location. The Voice Focus feature will enable voice enhancement for clear listening at the caller’s end. Voice Focus mode will also be available while making a video call on messaging apps and video conferencing platforms WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom.

With the new One UI 5.0, users will be able to customise their smartphone experience even better; it will let users set background images with a wider range of colours and patterns. Galaxy A users will also be able to set backgrounds from preset images, dynamic lock screens and gallery photos. Also, users will be able to make stickers in gallery, create custom call backgrounds with Augmented Reality (AR) emojis and more.

New privacy and security features 

In terms of security and privacy, the One UI 5.0 update will bring additional features. With this update, the Galaxy A series users will get a new feature called "Security and Privacy Dashboard", which will give users an instant overview of the status of privacy and security aspected of their handset, such as the microphone, location settings, and apps with access to the camera.
