Oppo Reno 8T 5G Unveiled In India. Here's Everything You Should Know

The smartphone has been launched in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment and will compete with the likes of the OnePlus Nord 2T and the Redmi K50i.

Oppo on Friday refreshed its Oppo Reno series in India with the Oppo Reno 8T smartphone. What separates it from the Reno 8 Is the new "Glow" design on the back cover, which has millions of pyramid-shaped crystals that are etched at the rear at a microscopic level.

The smartphone has been launched in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment and will compete with the likes of the OnePlus Nord 2T and the Redmi K50i. The device sports a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and runs Android 13 OS out of the box. The Oppo Reno 8T costs Rs 29,999 for the single 8GB/128GB storage model. The device comes in two colourways: Sunrise Gold and Midnight Gold. It will retail on e-commerce site Flipkart, physical outlets, and Oppo store starting February 10.

The company has also unveiled the Oppo Enco Air 3 at a price of Rs 2,999, which will become available from February 10 on the official Oppo website.

The Reno 8T 5G comes with a 6.7-inch Full-HD+10-bit AMOLED screen with a micro-curved, a refresh rate of 120Hz, punch-hole cutout for a selfie cam and 1080x2412 pixel resolution. The device is powered by the mid-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset coupled with Adreno GPU for graphics, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The device also supports RAM expansion.

For imaging, the Oppo Reno 8T comes with a triple cameras system on the back, dominated by a 108MP primary sensor, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP microscope sensor. There is a 32MP selfie camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The device runs Android 13-based custom ColorOS 13.1 out of the box. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. Connectivity options on the Reno 8T include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB Type-C port. The device comes with a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

ColorOS 13, which is based on Android 13, offers features such as Always-On Display for quick notifications, auto pixelate for privacy and an upgraded private safe for increased functionality and safety.
