OnePlus May Launch A New Phone With Satellite Connectivity. Here's What To Expect
The OnePlus phone with satellite connectivity may be launched outside of China. Presently, there are no Android smartphones outside of China that support satellite connectivity.
New renders of the purported OnePlus 13 have surfaced online, but before the company's next-generation devices launch, the current number series flagship, the OnePlus 12, may receive a significant upgrade with the next major OS update. According to reports, the Android 15 Beta on the OnePlus 12 may give the phone support for satellite connectivity. Notably, Google has recently begun rolling out Android 15 Beta 2 on several Android smartphones from smartphone OEMs like OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, and Xiaomi, among others. According to an Android Authority report, OnePlus is likely to introduce a smartphone with satellite connectivity soon. The report cites X, formerly Twitter user OneNormalUsername (@1NormalUsername), who noted that the OnePlus 12 Settings app in the latest Android 15 Beta includes a section that reads “Satellite mobile phone.”
It is pertinent to note that OnePlus has not officially announced a new OnePlus 12 variant with satellite communication capabilities.
However, if the report is accurate, it is possible that such a variant could be released later this year. Therefore, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt. Additionally, the handset with satellite connectivity may be launched outside of China. Presently, there are no Android smartphones outside of China that support satellite connectivity.

According to OnePlus, the screen has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
