Front Glass Panels Of iPhone 15, 15 Pro And Max Models Revealed In New Leak
The new leak also suggests that iPhone 15 Pro models have noticeably slimmer bezels compared to the regular iPhone 15.
We are months away from the launch of the iPhone 15 lineup, but according to the latest leak, the front glass panels of the upcoming phones suggest that the Apple iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max panels feature the Dynamic Island pill-shaped cutout for the selfie cam and FaceID sensors, the media has reported. The Dynamic Island was missing on last year's iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models and only the Pro models featured it.
The new leak also suggests that iPhone 15 Pro models have noticeably slimmer bezels compared to the regular iPhone 15, which is likely reusing the panels from last year's 14 Pro series, says a report by GSMArena citing a Chinese website.
Apple iPhone 15 Plus is likely to launch later this year and the iPhone 15 line may comprise four models, similar to what we saw in 2022. The vanilla iPhone 15 may be unveiled alongside the iPhone 15 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Also, the panels for the Pro models get a new 2.5D arc edge processing with an increased curvature, the report added.
A recent report by 9to5Mac mentioned details of the CAD models for the iPhone 15 Plus, and the model is likely to adopt the Dynamic Island that was missing in last year's iPhone 14 Plus.
The iPhone 15 series is likely to sport the same display size as the iPhone 14 series. However, the iPhone 15 Pro Max model may bear the 'Ultra' moniker; Samsung also uses the Ultra moniker for its super-premium flagship Galaxy S models. CAD files are sent by Apple to accessory makers in Asia ahead of the launches of new products, with an aim to have their readied products when the new iPhone lineup is officially unveiled.
The report also added that Apple’s next entire iPhone 15 lineup will have the Dynamic Island and that the notch will no longer be a “feature” of any current-model iPhone. The bezels are also slimmer on the iPhone 15 Plus than on the iPhone 14 Plus.
As per a previous report by 9to5Mac, there are some notable changes in the iPhone 15 Pro when compared with last year's iPhone 14 Pro and the biggest change is the swapping of Apple's Lightning port with the USB-C charging port, again based on the CAD renders. Similar to the current model, the USB-C port has been placed at the bottom, next to the bottom-firing speaker, as per the render.
