Apple iPhone 14 Pro Models May Feature 8GB Of RAM: Details

With the purported Apple iPhone 14 lineup likely to launch this fall, new reports suggest that the iPhone 14 Pro models may come with 8GB of RAM.

New Delhi: With the purported Apple iPhone 14 lineup likely to launch this fall, new reports suggest that the iPhone 14 Pro models may come with 8GB of RAM, to rival the flagship Galaxy S22. The base variant of the newly-launched Samsung Galaxy S22 features 8GB of RAM. According to recent a post by a user named "yeux1122" on the Naver blog, the purported iPhone 14 Pro models will feature 8GB of RAM which is higher than the previous-gen iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

According to a report published in The Sun, the iPhone 14 lineup will be officially unveiled in September this year. This year's models may see a radical change in terms of design and include the hole-punch display instead of the traditional notch that Apple introduced a few years back. Some other reports suggest that the upcoming iPhone 14 lineup may also come with a 120Hz display.

The Cupertino, California-based tech giant's non-Pro ‌iPhone‌ 14 models may come with less storage, hence it is likely that the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and 6.7-inch ‌iPhone 14‌ Max may feature less than 8GB of RAM. Apple is also reportedly accelerating the schedule for the mass production of the purportedly iPhone 14 Pro model.

Meanwhile, China's biggest display maker BOE is intending to make OLED panels for the higher-end models of the iPhone 15 lineup. The China-based display-making giant currently, makes panels for the baseline iPhone 13, a report suggested earlier in January. The higher-end displays that require more advanced technology, are being produced by Samsung.

The Beijing, China-headquartered BOE is intending to expand its ability to manufacture OLED LTPO displays, which enable a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz, in time for the ‌iPhone‌ 15 Pro, expected to be unveiled in 2023, according to a report published in The Elec. For this year's iPhone 14 lineup that is likely to launch this fall, BOE would supply displays for only the baseline models whereas the Pro series models would continue to rely on Samsung and LG.
