The upcoming Google Pixel 8a is expected to be launched during Google I/O 2024 and the tech giant is trying its level best to maintain the secrecy of the upcoming devices however, despite all the tries, information about the Pixel 8a still continues to surface online. Recently, a tipster named MysteryLupin on X (formerly Twitter) spilt all the beans regarding the upcoming device. The tipster shared the entire pdf of the Pixel 8a specifications sheet along with the price of it in Europe.

The leaked information also reveals a Pixel 8a banner suggesting a price of €549 for the European market, along with a €150 trade-in bonus for older smartphones.

Expect the device to be available in Bay, Lime Green, Obsidian, and Porcelain colour options. With most details already leaked, the only thing left is for the device to be officially released and made available for purchase.

Google Pixel 8a: Specifications (Expected)

The Pixel 8a will feature a familiar 6.1-inch display, this time with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its dimensions are 152.1 x 72.7 x 8.9 mm, and it weighs 188 grams, boasting an IP67 water and dust resistance rating. Under the hood, it will run the Tensor G3 chip, although rumours suggest the SoC might be underclocked compared to the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. Memory options include 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

On the software front, the Pixel 8a is anticipated to introduce several new features such as Magic Touch-up, Better Grip Magic, Real Tone, and more. Importantly, the device will receive software updates for 7 years, matching the regular Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.

Regarding the camera setup, it seems unchanged from the Pixel 7a, maintaining a dual rear configuration with a primary 64MP sensor (likely Samsung) and a 13MP ultrawide sensor (likely Sony), both with optical image stabilization support. The front-facing camera will be a 13MP unit.

Powering the device is a 4,492mAh battery supporting 27W wired and wireless Qi charging. Security features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Connectivity options include a USB 3.2 Type-C port, Wi-Fi 6E, and support for major LTE and 5G bands.
