Garmin, a renowned leader in fitness wearables and health technology, has unveiled its eagerly awaited Fenix 8 series in India. This next-generation lineup of premium multisport GPS smartwatches has already garnered significant attention in international markets, where it has been launched successfully. The Fenix 8 series is specifically engineered to cater to the needs of athletes and adventure seekers, offering comprehensive training modules and superior tracking functionalities.

Additionally, Garmin introduced a personalised application aimed at coaches and athletes to enhance their training experience.

Available in various sizes, the models boast a rugged design with leak-proof metal buttons and military-grade durability, complemented by optional premium materials like a titanium bezel and scratch-resistant sapphire lens.

Each smartwatch is backed by a two-year warranty.

Garmin Fenix 8: Features

The new Fenix 8 series offers two display variants: a vibrant AMOLED screen and a solar-powered option. The 51mm AMOLED model boasts an impressive battery life of up to 29 days in smartwatch mode, while the solar variant can last up to 48 days on a single charge. Tailored for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, these smartwatches provide daily training readiness and Body Battery scores, helping users decide when to push their limits or take a rest.

The series includes advanced metrics such as endurance score, hill score, VO2 max, and training status, which offer valuable insights into overall performance. Additionally, it features enhanced strength training capabilities, a 40-meter dive rating, and an integrated speaker and microphone for seamless communication, along with voice assistant functions, voice commands, and voice notes— a first for the Fenix series.

Users can also utilize the Garmin Messenger app for two-way text messaging, while advanced mapping and navigation tools allow for customized route suggestions and access to Topo Active maps, enhancing the outdoor experience.
