Apple iPhone 13 Gets New Green Colour, iPhone 13 Pro Announced In Alpine Green Colour

New Delhi: As anticipated, Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro were announced in a new green colour variant at Apple's Peek Performance event late on Tuesday. Apple will be releasing the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro in a new green shade and they can be preordered now, but they will become available starting March 18. The iPhone 13 gets a new green colour while the iPhone 13 Pro gets an Alpine Green colour variant.

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini also come with Super Retina XDR display while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max feature a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion featuring an adaptive refresh rate from 10Hz up to 120Hz. The new alpine green iPhone 13 Pro and green iPhone 13 will be available for pre-order starting Friday, March 11, with availability starting Friday, March 18.

“People love the design of iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13, and we’re excited to unveil the stunning new alpine green and green finishes, which join the wide range of beautiful colors on the iPhone 13 lineup,” Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said in a statement.

“These new colors give customers even more options when choosing their iPhone, and we can’t wait for them to take advantage of all the iPhone 13 lineup offers, including unmatched performance with A15 Bionic, our best camera systems, massive improvements to battery life for everyday needs, fast 5G, incredible durability, and so much more.”

It should be noted that this is not the first time the iPhone maker has added a new colour option in a mid refresh cycle -- the company has launched new iPhone colour option months after the device's launch with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. Both the models got a new pastel purple colour during an event in April 2021. The tech giant has made the green colour option available for the previous-gen iPhone 11, 11 Pro and the iPhone 12. However, the company did not unveil a green variant of the iPhone 13 when it launched in the fall of 2021.

Both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro feature Apple's A15 Bionic chip under the hood and run iOS 15 out of the box. The price of the base iPhone 13 with 128GB storage in India is Rs 79,900 and the iPhone 13 is also available in 256GB and 512GB storage options in the country. The iPhone 13 256GB storage variant costs Rs 89,900 in India while the 512GB storage model of iPhone 13 costs Rs Rs 1,09,900. The price of the bigger iPhone 13 Pro 128GB option in India is Rs 1,19,900 while the 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage variants of the 13 Pro Max cost at Rs 1,29,900, Rs 1,49,900 and Rs 1,69,900, respectively.
