Elon Musk’s X Launches Job Listing Feature, To Be Available For Verified Users

Elon Musk’s X introduced and unlocked a new feature to post job listings for verified users and organisations on the microblogging platform.

New Delhi: Elon Musk’s X, formerly known as Twitter, has introduced a feature to post job listings for verified organisations on the microblogging platform. In an official post, the company said, “Unlock early access to the X Hiring Beta — exclusively for Verified Organizations.”

It also said people can now feature their most critical roles and organically reach millions of relevant candidates. The feature is currently in its beta version.

The company asked for people to “Apply for the Beta today.” In a screenshot shared by the company, the hiring will be placed under the section “We Are Hiring.”

This job posting feature has been introduced to connect prospective candidates to their preferred organisation's website, where they may find out more about the position and submit an application. According to media reports, the feature will be made available to users for a monthly payment of $1000 (Rs 82,300).

In May this year, Elon Musk had hinted about launching the feature. He was responding to a query by a user about adding dating services to the social media platform.

Responding to this, Musk said, "Interesting idea, maybe jobs too."

This comes after the microblogging platform decided to disable the "block" feature on the app as Musk feels the function "makes no sense".

In a series of tweets, Musk said that the block function would be removed as a feature, except for direct messages (DMs). His tweets were in response to a question from Tesla Owners Silicon Valley, an X account representing a group of Tesla owners, inquiring about the difference between blocking and muting and their reasons.

Blocking a user on the platform currently prevents that user from engaging with an account, including viewing their tweets, quoting their posts, or directly addressing them. The blocked user is aware of being blocked.

On the other hand, muting an account prevents a user from seeing the posts of the muted account, and muted accounts are unaware that they have been muted.

However, it is still not clear when the change will be implemented.
