Delhi Elections 2025: Omar Abdullah & Swati Maliwal Compare AAP's Condition With Mahabharata As BJP Leads In Counting

J&K CM Omar Abdullah took a dig at I.N.D.I.A. alliance's internal fights while Swati Maliwal compared Arvind Kejriwal's arrogance with that of Duryodhana.

Delhi Elections Results: In the early trends AAP was leading, however, soon the tables were turned and BJP started to lead the race. It seems like the citizens of Delhi have ghosted AAP and accepted Saffron. Now, amidst all this political chaos, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, took a dig at I.N.D.I.A. alliance over the internal fighting. He shared a GIF of a sadhu saying “Ji bhar kar lado (fight to your heart’s content)”, Omar said, “Aur lado aapas mein!!! (Keep fighting amongst yourselves).”

The comparison of Delhi Elections' results with Mahabharata didn't end here though. Member of Parliament, and former Delhi Commission for Women's chief Swati Maliwal also shared a comparison of Delhi elections with Mahabharat.

Swati Maliwal went a step ahead to even explain her post. Watch what she said:

How Did The Mahabharat Link Start?

It's not like these comparisons are coming out of nowhere. If you go back in time a bit then you will realise where it stems from. Unfortunately, since there's not a single scientifically possible way to do that, we will help you out by jogging your memory. Back in November, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday compared the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections to a 'dharamyudh', akin to the one in the Mahabharata.

While speaking to district-level office bearers of the party in Chandni Chowk back then, Kejriwal said that the divine forces were on the AAP's side and cited its victory in the mayoral elections "despite the BJP's concerted efforts to seize control" to bolster his claim.

He said, "Delhi Assembly election is like a 'dharamyudh'. They have immense money and power like the Kauravas, but God and the people are with us as was the case with the Pandavas."

Now, it seems like the 'saviour' of Delhi has lost the Dharamyudh. However, the counting of votes is still going on which means that there is a possibility that the tables could be turned yet again. Stay tuned to find out which party will form the government in Delhi.
