BGMI Developer Krafton Now Suspends 2 Lakh Accounts. Details

BGMI or Battlegrounds Mobile India's parent company Krafton has now banned 2 lakh accounts, in a bid to continue its battle against cheating and illegal activities.

New Delhi: BGMI or Battlegrounds Mobile India's parent company Krafton has now banned 2 lakh accounts, in a bid to continue its battle against cheating and illegal activities that affect the gaming environment.

"Enabling a fair gameplay has always been a priority for Krafton and the company has been taking robust measures to deliver an impartial and unhindered experience for players," the game developer said in a statement.

According to the South Korean game developer, the move to ban another 2 lakh accounts is in line with its zero-tolerance policy towards cheaters and its efforts to curb the use of illegal cheat codes and activities in the game. earlier in January, South Korea's Krafton had banned 48,543 accounts on BGMI in the wake of players engaging in illegal activities in the week starting January 10 through January 16.

South Korea-based Krafton Inc has been taking strict measures to check illegal activities and it had banned almost 1 lakh accounts for cheating between December 13 and December 19 only.

Krafton had earlier announced that it will introduce even stricter measures and that the game developers will now ban the device itself, and not just the associated account that is found to be involved in cheating or hacking the popular battle royale game. The device ban became applicable starting December 24 and BGMI developer Krafton mentioned that if the use of illegal programs is detected with a mobile device by the newly applied security logic, the device will be permanently banned from using BGMI battle royale game.

This move would make sure that players who get caught cheating would be banned and won't be able to cheat again unless they get a new device.
