WWDC 2025 will run from June 9 to June 13, and like recent editions, it will be free and streamed online for developers around the globe. However, Apple is also throwing an exclusive in-person celebration for over 1,000 developers and students at Apple Park on June 9, offering a hybrid flavour to this year’s event.
When Will Apple Chief Tim Cook Take the Stage?
Apple CEO Tim Cook will kick off the conference on June 9 at 10 am PDT (10:30 pm IST) with the WWDC Keynote — a showcase expected to unveil “groundbreaking updates” across the Apple ecosystem. The keynote will be streamed live on apple.com, the Apple TV app, and the company’s official YouTube channel, with on-demand playback available post-event.
“WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and giving our developers the tools they need to create the next generation of great apps,” Apple stated in its announcement, underlining the importance of the developer community in shaping the future of its platforms.
Deep Dive into Apple’s Ecosystem
Shortly after the keynote, the Platforms State of the Union presentation will go live at 1 pm PDT (1:30 am IST), offering a detailed look at technical advances across iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, iPadOS, and visionOS. Like the keynote, it will be accessible via the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube.
Developers can look forward to over 100 technical sessions across the week, along with step-by-step guides, documentation, and hands-on examples to help them build "platform-differentiating" apps. From machine learning to graphics, design to developer tools, Apple is promising a packed agenda.
Connecting Developers, Celebrating Students
WWDC25 won’t just be a passive viewing experience. Members of Apple’s Developer Program will have access to group labs and one-on-one appointments with Apple engineers and designers. These sessions offer real-time engagement on hot topics like Apple Intelligence, Swift, game development, and more.
The company is also shining a spotlight on young coders through the Swift Student Challenge. This year, 50 students who stood out with their creative submissions have been named Distinguished Winners and invited for a three-day special experience at Apple Park.
