Breaking | Chengalpattu Police Encounter Two History-Sheeter Accused In Gruesome Double-Murder Case
The two men were identified as Dinesh and Mohideen.
Chennai: The Chengalpattu police encountered two history-sheeters who were reportedly charged for murdering two persons in Chengalpattu as a self-defense mechanism on Friday. The two men were identified as Dinesh and Mohideen, reportedly possessed country bombs and they allegedly threw them at the time during the time of the chase.
The two history-sheeters were linked to the gruesome crime incident reported in Chengalpattu on Thursday where the three-member gang in a revenge plan hacked two men to death in different incidents using a machete at Chengalpattu bus stand and at the residence of the deceased person in Chengalpattu on Thursday within a span of 30 minutes. The trio also used a country bomb to force the people out of the bus stand and to restrain visibility.
According to a report on Times of India, the deceased persons are identified as M Karthik alias 'Appu' Karthik from KK Street and S Mahesh from Mettu Street and both of them are relatives. Both the persons were employed at a vegetable wholesale market in Chengalpattu.
However, Karthik has two murder cases pending against him.
In the first murder, the trio entered the Chengalpattu bus stand and hurled a country bomb. The people who were at the stop rushed outside and the smoke engulfed the place. During this time, the gang attacked Karthik with a machete and disfigured his face.
They hacked him until he fell to the ground and they then fled the place. The people who were at the bus stop immediately raised an alarm and later informed the police.
Within the next 10 minutes of the incident, the same gang went to the house of Mahesh in Mettu street. While Mahesh was watching tv, they hacked him to death.
The police rushed both of them to Chengalpattu Government Hospital but both of them were declared dead on arrival.
Based on a complaint, the Chengalpattu police registered a case and started the investigation.
