CBI Arrests Karti Chidambaram's Auditor Bhaskar Raman A Day After Raids
In the case, CBI reportedly arraigned Karti, his associate S Bhaskar Raman, Mansa and Vikas of Talwandi and Bell Tools Limited as accused.
Chennai: Bhaskar Raman, the auditor of Karti Chidambaram, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday in connection with bribe-for-visa case a day raids at his residence. The CBI on Tuesday also raided the house and residences of Sivaganga MP Karti P Chidambaram and Rajya Sabha MP P Chidambaram.
In the case, CBI also arraigned Karti, his associate S Bhaskar Raman, Mansa and Vikas of Talwandi and Bell Tools Limited as accused, said a report on The Indian Express.

The CBI raided the house of Karti Chidambaram and Bhaskar Raman after alleging that Karti accepted a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to help in getting visas for 250 Chinese nations to work in Talwandi Sabo Power plant in Punjab.
Talwandi Sabo, which was a subsidiary of Vedanta group, was reportedly involved in establishing a 1980 MW thermal power plant at Mansa. The work got delayed due to several reasons and they decided to outsource the workers from a Chinese company, said the report.
Meanwhile, P Chidambaram commenting on the raids said, "This morning, a CBI team searched my residence at Chennai and my official residence at Delhi. The team showed me a FIR in which I am not named as an accused."
"The search team found nothing and seized nothing. I may point out that the timing of the search is interesting," he said.
