UP Police To Track Mobile Phone Robbery Through WhatsApp

After a surge of reports regarding mobile robbery, UP police has come up with an innovative way to track the robbers. Read on to know more

The Prayagraj police have now devised a unique way to prevent incidents of theft and theft of mobile phones. The police will now resort to WhatsApp to control incidents of mobile robbery or theft. For this, the police have formed a WhatsApp group for the major markets of mobile phones in the city.

Police have collaborated with businessmen selling mobile phones of related markets and artisans who repair phones. Police have assigned due to their officers to keep a track of such places crowded places in Lucknow. All the shopkeepers and artisans have also joined the WhatsApp group have been instructed that they will inform the group if there is any apprehension about the old mobile phones or their parts coming for sale. On investigation, the police team will reach the shops and investigate.

In fact, police officers associated with more than 150 shopkeepers and artisan groups believe that most of the mobile phones stolen or stolen are sold in the market through shopkeepers. Some robbers open the phones and sell its parts to be safe and resort to repairing shops to sell them. Currently, this system is being used in the Indira Bhavan market of civil lines as a trial. More than 150 shopkeepers and artisans as well as the police of the area have also been added. The local outpost in-charge has been made the administrator and nodal officer of this group.
