This was followed by Deepotsav in 2019 that witnessed the lighting of 4 lakh earthen lamps. In 2020, more than 6 lakh diyas were illuminated on the banks of River Saryu. Now, in 2021, the Yogi Adityanath administration is planning to set the world record by lighting more than 12 lakh diyas for this event.
