'Punched, Kicked, Dragged': Sacked Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Gudha Breaks Down, Threatens To Expose Gehlot

Former Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Gudha on Monday said that he was beaten by Congress MLAs and said he would expose CM Ashok Gehlot.

Former Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Singh Gudha has made a shocking allegation against the Congress MLAs and CM Ashok Gehlot. He said that he was punched, kicked and dragged out of the assembly. Speaking with the media, he threatened to expose Gehlot and the 'corruption' that the latter did in assembly and cricket elections.

"Around 50 people attacked me, punched me, kicked me and Congress leaders dragged me out of the Assembly. The Chairman of the Rajasthan Assembly did not even allow me to speak. There were allegations against me that I am with BJP. I want to know, what is my fault?" Gudha said.

Gudha made the remarks after he was denied entry inside the assembly days after being removed as a minister from the Gehlot cabinet. A video posted by the news agency ANI shows the former minister trying to enter the assembly while a group of men in white dresses stop him from doing so.

He said, "I wanted to present my red diary to the Chairman but he did not allow me to speak. Congress leader Shanti Kumar Dhariwal pushed me and other Congress leaders started fighting with me and took away some pages of the diary. Some Congress leaders kicked and punched me and later threw me out of the Assembly. I was getting calls to not attend the session and that I will be sent to jail soon."

Earlier on Friday, Gudha was fired from the Rajasthan cabinet just hours after he criticised his own government for recent violence against women in the election-bound state. Rajendra Singh Gudha stated in his address to the state assembly, "It is true and should be accepted that we have failed in women's safety." Instead of focusing on Manipur, we should examine why atrocities against women have increased in Rajasthan".

When asked why Rajendra Singh Gudha was removed from the Rajasthan cabinet, CM Ashok Gehlot said, "This is an internal matter that we will discuss among ourselves".
