Yusuf Pathan Announces Retirement From All Formats Of Cricket

Team India's hard-hitting all-rounder Yusuf Pathan took to Twitter to announce his retirement from all formats of cricket.

India cricket team's star all-rounder Yusuf Pathan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Friday.

The right-handed hard-hitting batsman scored 810 runs in 57 ODIs and 236 runs in 22 T20 matches for Indian cricket team. Yusuf Pathan has scored 2 centuries and 3 half-centuries in One-Day-Internationals. The all-rounder picked 33 ODI wickets and 13 wickets in T20 cricket.

 "I thank my family, friends, fans, teams, coaches and the whole country wholeheartedly for all the support and love," Yusuf wrote in his Twitter post along with a statement and 2 pics.

Yusuf Pathan was a part of the Indian cricket team which won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup. The former all-roudner made his international debut under MS Dhoni, IPL debut under Aussie legend Shane Warne and domestic cricket debut Jacob Martin.  In his twitter post, he thanked all his three captains.

The 38-year-old also thanked Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir, under whose captaincy the franchise became two-time IPL champion. In his IPL career. Pathan scored 3204 runs in 174 matches, in which he scored 13 fifties and a century.
