Tokyo Olympic 2020: The threat of Coronavirus is increasing over the Olympic Games starting on July 23 in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. Australian tennis player, Alex de Minaur's has tested positve for Coronavirus. Alex de Minaur has been pulled out of the Olympics after testing Covid positive.
Ian Chesterman, chief of the Australian Olympic team, informed that the tennis player has tested positive for the dreaded virus =. Ian told the media that Alex Minaur is very sad after testing Covid positive. He said, "We are all sad for Alex. It was his childhood dream to play for Australia in the Olympics."
Minaur, ranked 17th in the world rankings, was to play in both singles and doubles events. It is not yet clear whether his partner John Pearce will have a place in the team. In a statement issued in Sydney, the Australian Olympic Committee said, "Alex did a Corona test 96 and 72 hours before leaving for Tokyo, both results turned out to be positive."

Minaur had to leave for Tokyo from Spain. Chesterman said his Test during Wimbledon came negative and no Australian player has been in touch with him since. The rest of the Australian players have tested negative.
As per information a player who had earlier arrived to participate in the Tokyo Olympics had tested positive. The identity of this player has not been disclosed. However, after testing Covid positive, the player has been quarantined for 14 days.
The cases of Coronavirus are increasing continuously in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. On Thursday, more than 1300 cases were reported in Tokyo. This is the largest number of corona cases in Tokyo in the last 6 months.
