This Dhoni Fangirl Is Just 7 Years Old But Practices 10 Hours A Day!

Jhajjar girl Pari Sharma, whose cricket videos went viral on internet, is living a real life Dangal story.

New Delhi: She's quite an angel, quite literally so, and her cricketing videos have been storming through the social media world. Hailing from a remote village in Jhajjar village, Haryana, Pari Sharma is just 7 years old but her batting techniques and strokeplay has been impeccable, forcing the likes former England skipper and leading commentator Micheal Atherton along with West Indian batsman Shai Hope to praise her. More accolades followed from throughout the world but the one compliment she is waiting for is from her idols --- MS Dhoni and Mithali Raj. A huge fan of Dhoni, Pari's story is a real life rip off of the movie Dangal -- albeit on the cricket field. Pari wants to fulfil her father's incomplete dream -- of becoming a successful cricketer and play for India and has been going through the grind under the able guidance of her father, who is also her coach. Her day starts at 4 am in the morning and at the tender age of 7, Pari goes through the gruelling 10 hour practice session through the day at her indoor training complex. Pradeep Sharma, her father was a aspiring left arm fast bowler and a middle order batsman who played alongside Virender Sehwag and T20 World Cup winning hero Joginder Sharma at the University level. Circumstances and family pressure couldn't allow him from taking his talent to the logical end and made himself a promise that he would see his dreams through his children and give them all the support in the world. Slowly I taught her batting and I told her my story. She was just five then but told me that she wants to play for India and since then we have been practicing hard," says Pradeep, who is a lecturer and works with the state government.
Pradeep has built a small indoor pratice facility for her where the father and daughter duo spends hours together. "Her technique and her stance, everything I only taught her, in fact a lot of people in the cricket circuit come to me to coach their kids, he says adding that it gives him happiness that he has been able to imbibe good basics to his daughter. Pari, meanwhile, is awaiting an official word from her nearby school that she has entered Grade 3. This isn't the first time that her videos has gone viral --- one such thing of her batting video was watched by 20 million people online buy she didn't get any recognition. But this time it has been different, and she hopes that one of women Team India stars -- Dhoni, Harmanpreet, Smriti or even her own Rohtak wali 'didi' Shefali Verma watch her and appreciate her.
For one day, she would want to open for Team India with Shefali, break records of Mithali and be a World Cup winner like MS Dhoni.
