Spree Of Resignation At The Very Top Hits BCCI; After CEO Johri's Resignation, GM Saba Karim Asked To Leave

Just days after CEO Rahul Johri's exit, Saba Karim has been asked to resign from the post of General Manager - Cricket Operations.

Wickets are falling in quick succession in BCCI. Just days after CEO Rahul Johri was relieved from his post, sources say that Saba Karim has also put in his papers from the post of General Manager - Cricket Operations.  The former Indian wicketkeeper, who joined the BCCI in 2017 to succeed MV Sridhar, has been instrumental in planning and overseeing back up India A tours that have helped Team India achieve success overseas. However, he had come under criticism from several quarters of the new regime for the handling of the NCA, domestic tournaments, outsourcing of scheduling and appointments apart from lack of Team India players being a part of it. Bihar Cricket, which was also under his supervision has become a bone of contention for the board and was amongst the agenda of discussion on the Apex Council on July 16 meeting. It is expected that KVP Rao, who is now looking after NCA along with Rahul Dravid, will take over in the interim period.
