National Camp Cyclist Triyasha Paul Tests Covid-19 Positive; Goes Into Isolation Within The Camp
Triyasha underwent a mandatory COVID test after arriving at the national camp and was found positive for coronavirus.
Coronavirus in India: Cyclist Triyasha Paul, who is a part of the National Cycling Camp which is scheduled to start at Indira Gandhi National Stadium, has tested COVID 19 positive. Triyasha arrived at the camp on August 12 and was given SAI's mandatory COVID 19 test upon arrival.

All members of the team have been in quarantine and in isolation since their arrival, and therefore Triyasha has not interacted with other campers during the quarantine. She is being given all necessary treatment and is in isolation within the campus.
The national cycling camp was slated to begin from 14th August with a team of 11 athletes, 4 coaches, and 16 support staff and maximum had reached the camp venue in the first week of August and had undergone mandatory quarantine and COVID tests. The test reports had confirmed all of them were negative for Covid-19.

It’s been a rocky road for SAI trying to get training and practice of Olympic contenders back on track amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. The first six players in the men’s hockey national camp, including captain Manpreet Singh, tested positive for Covid-19, then Shuttler N Sikki Reddy and physiotherapist Kiran C tested positive, however, they have recovered now and hockey and badminton camps will start from 19th and 17th August respectively. The archery camp will begin in Pune from 25th August while the wrestling camp for both men and women has been given a go-ahead from the 1st of September.
