IPL 2024 Final Rain Threat In Chennai: Rain threat looms large over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Final on Sunday, May 26, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

KKR will be aiming for their third title while SRH will be vying for their second. KKR secured their spot in the title match by winning the Qualifier-1 against SRH, whereas Hyderabad earned their place in the summit clash by defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier-2.

Chennai latest weather update for KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 match

There is very little chance that rain will play spoilsport in KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final on Sunday (May 26). According to Weather.com, the sky will be cloudy from noon to night on May 26. The temperature is expected to drop to around 24-25 degrees Celsius when the title match starts at 7:30 PM IST onwards. There is only a three percent chance of rain during IPL 2024 Final match.

However, humidity is expected to be between 66 to 73 percent, and if dew falls, bowling will be a bit more challenging in the second innings.

Who will be declared winner in case KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final gets washed out due to rain?

If it rains, a five-over match can be played until at least 12:26 AM on Sunday. If the IPL 2024 Final between KKR and SRH cannot be completed on Sunday, May 26, it will resume on the Reserve Day, Monday, May 27, starting from where it left off. Additionally, a separate provision of 120 minutes has been made for IPL 2024 Final on the Reserve Day.

Even if a five-over match is not possible on Sunday due to rain, a new toss will be conducted again on the Reserve Day, May 27.

If rain persists and prevents the IPL 2024 Final match from taking place even on the Reserve Day, a Super Over will be scheduled for 1:30 PM on Monday, May 27. However, if rain disrupts the Super Over on the Reserve Day as well, Kolkata Knight Riders, the team ranked number one in the points table during the league stage, will be declared the ultimate winner.
