Even though Lucknow Super Giants pulled off a narrow win against Rajasthan Royals, one major concern continues to haunt them - Rishabh Pant's poor form.

The star wicketkeeper-batter, bought for a record-breaking Rs 27 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, has yet to justify the hefty price tag. Barring a single innings, Pant has struggled to make any significant contribution with the bat this season.

Another Failure Against Rajasthan

On April 19, LSG faced Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Once again, Pant disappointed with the bat. He managed to score just 3 runs off 9 balls before falling to Wanindu Hasaranga while attempting a reverse sweep. The edge flew to Dhruv Jurel behind the stumps, who completed an easy catch.

Rishabh Pant has played 8 matches this season, batting in 7 innings and scoring only 108 runs. His average stands at a disappointing 15, with a strike rate of just 98.14. So far, he has registered only one half-century—a 63-run knock against Chennai Super Kings. Beyond that, his form has been a major letdown for the team.
