IPL 2024 Playoffs Race qualification scenario for all teams: With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season approaching its conclusion, 59 group stage matches have already unfolded, leaving just 11 matches to determine the top four teams advancing to the next stage i.e. IPL 2024 playoffs. The race for these coveted spots undergoes constant shifts with every game. 

The top four teams in IPL points table, after all group stage matches are over, will qualify for IPL 2024 Playoffs.

Ahead of tonight's KKR vs MI IPL 2024 match in Kolkata, let's have a look at IPL 2024 Playoffs qualification scenario for all teams.

Kolkata Knight Riders: Sitting firmly at the top of the points table is Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), boasting 8 wins from 11 games. With three matches still in hand, even if KKR encounters setbacks, their remarkable net run rate almost ensures a playoff berth. Securing just one win from their remaining 3 matches will certainly cement KKR's position in the Top 4.

Rajasthan Royals: Rajasthan Royals (RR) currently hold the second position on IPLpoints table with an impressive record of 8 wins and 3 losses, accumulating 16 points. With just one win required from their remaining 3 games, RR can secure a total of 18 points, ensuring their qualification for IPL 2024 playoffs.

Chennai Super Kings: For Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to keep their IPL 2024 Playoffs qualification hopes alive, they must win their remaining two matches. Additionally, CSK need to ensure their victories by a big margin to substantially boost their net run rate (NRR). With 6 wins and 6 losses so far, CSK find themselves in a challenging position in IPL 2024 playoffs race. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad: SRH currently sits in 3rd place on IPL points table with 14 points, having secured 7 wins and endured 5 defeats in the IPL 2024 season. To secure their spot in IPL 2024 playoffs, Hyderabad needs to win 2 out of their remaining three matches.

Lucknow Super Giants: LSG currently holds the 6th spot in the IPL 2024 points table with 12 points, having secured 6 wins and endured 6 losses. Their concern lies in their notably low net run rate (NRR) of -0.769, particularly highlighted after their humbling 10-wicket loss to SRH. To bolster their chances of making it to the top four, LSG must win both their remaining matches and do so by a significant margin to improve their NRR.

Delhi Capitals: DC currently stand at 12 points, accumulated from 6 wins and 6 losses. To enhance their chances of qualifying for IPL 2024 playoffs, DC must secure wins in their remaining two matches against RCB on May 12 and LSG on May 14. Additionally, they will be reliant on favorable outcomes in other teams' matches.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru: With 5 wins and 7 losses from 12 games, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) faces a challenging situation in their quest for a spot in IPL 2024 playoffs. Simply winning both their remaining matches to reach 14 points won't be enough for RCB, as they also need to ensure victory by a significant margin to improve their net run rate (NRR). Additionally, RCB will need favorable results in other matches to work in their favor to boost their chances of qualifying for IPL 2024 playoffs.

Gujarat Titans: To keep their playoff hopes alive, Gujarat Titans, with a record of 5 wins and 7 losses, must secure victories in both of their remaining matches against KKR on May 13 and SRH on May 16. Additionally, GT will need favorable outcomes in other matches to increase their chances of making it to the top 4.

Mumbai Indians: MI's hopes of qualifying for the IPL 2024 playoffs have come to an end. As a result of Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) significant 10-wicket defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the five-time IPL champions have been officially eliminated from the IPL 2024 playoffs race.

Punjab Kings: Following a humiliating 60-run defeat against RCB, Punjab Kings (PBKS) became the second team to be eliminated from IPL 2024 playoffs race.
