Olympic Javelin throw champion India's Neeraj Chopra will begin his 2023 season at the Doha Diamond League 2023 on Friday (May 5). The tournament is all set to be held at the Qatar Sports Club on Friday. Ever since Chopra's historic gold medal at the delayed Tokyo Olympics in 2021, there has been a keen interest in the sport from a lot of Indians.

Before the 2023 season opener for Chopra, the ace javelin thrower has hinted that he could breach the hallowed 90-mark at this event, a landmark that he has set for himself for quite some time now but hasn't yet got there. Neeraj Chopra's personal best currently stands at 89.94m but he would be itching to open a brand new season with a personal best that suprasses the target he has in his mind for himself.
