All teams have announced their retentions ahead of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 auction. On Thursday (November 7), five teams—RCB, DC, GG, UPW, and MI—revealed the players they have retained for the WPL Auction 2025.
Each team could retain up to 18 players, including a maximum of six foreign players. The retention largely followed expectations, with no significant surprises or shocks in the process.

Big names released ahead of WPL 2025 auction include Issy Wong, Heather Knight, Sneh Rana, Poonam Yadav, and Lea Tahuhu. Each team has an auction purse of Rs. 18 crore.
WPL 2025 auction is scheduled for December, with the exact dates and venue yet to be announced.
