Sheldon Cottrell responded in Hindi on his official Twitter handle and turned down any controversy

West Indies speedster Sheldon Cottrell’s Salute celebration in the ongoing World Cup has created a huge buzz among the cricket fanatics. Each time he takes a wicket, he goes for his epic salute that may annoy the batsman walking back. He did the same against India when the two sides locked horns at the Old Trafford in Manchester. After removing Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami, he marched down the ground and gave that grand salute. But when he came to bat and got dismissed by Chahal, he received the same treatment from one of his victims in blue. Shami seemed to mock the Windies speedster’s trademark celebration was walking off after being adjudged to have been caught lbw by Yuzvendra Chahal in the 30th over. Shami raised his right arm in salute and mimicked Cottrell’s march – as if he was trying to tell him to march back to the pavilion. Taking the episode in a sporting manner, he wrote“Great fun! Great bowling. Nakal Karna Hi Sabse Badi Chaploosi Hai,” Cottrell, wrote in his tweet. As per reports, Cottrell’s salute-and-march celebration is a tribute to his country’s armed forces. He picked up his trademark move after having trained with the Jamaican Army for six months.
